The All People's Congress (APC) has nullified the results of several Ward Executive elections conducted on Saturday, 21st February 2026, subsequent to a post-election review that identified significant procedural and administrative irregularities.

The Internal Elections Management Committee (IEMC) formally communicated this decision to the party’s National Secretary General. The comprehensive review, which incorporated reports from district coordinators, field election officers, and relevant stakeholders, concluded that the integrity and credibility of the electoral process were compromised across numerous locations nationwide.

The cancellations affect Ward 091 in Kono; Wards 100, 105, 112, 121, and 122 in Bombali; Wards 131, 133, and 139 in Falaba; Wards 180 and 181 in Tonkolili; Wards 190 and 202 in Kambia; Wards 212, 217, 220, 221, 225, 227, and 228 in Karene; and Wards 235, 248, and 254 in Port Loko.

In its official notice, the IEMC asserted that the cancellations adhere strictly to the party constitution, elections regulations, and approved guidelines, thereby reaffirming the APC's commitment to the principles of free, fair, and transparent internal elections.

The Committee has guaranteed that corrective measures will be implemented to ensure that all rescheduled elections maintain the highest standards of electoral integrity, thereby preserving confidence in the party's democratic processes.
