Sierra Leonean Sprinter Ibrahim 'Fast' Koroma has told this medium that he will go to great lengths to proudly represent Sierra Leone in the 7th edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games which will be held in port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago from the 4th to 11th August 2023.
To achieve this , Ibrahim goes to the Attouga Mini stadium day in and day out to gain full scale fitness, preparedness and zeal to take on other athletes in the forthcoming Commonwealth Youth Games headlong.
Ibrahim's rise to stardom began from Secondary school days, at the Saint Edwards Secondary school a few years ago.
According to him, "at that time , I didn't have the passion to run and I never knew I could do it" he explained.
As the 7th edition of the Commonwealth Youth Games draws nearer , Ibrahim Fast Koroma's target is to improve on his personal time and possibly set new records.
"Running is all about timing"said Koroma who often competes in both 200 and 400 metres.
His quest is to help Sierra Leone break the predicament in obtaining gold medals but he emphasized that they can only achieve that feat with better preparation.
