Bench Warrant Against Kaodenero’s Associates Rescinded & Bail Reinstated

On Friday, June 13, 2024, Magistrate Braima Jah annulled a bench warrant previously issued for Amidu Sesay, an associate of Kaodenero, and restored his bail.

The warrant was initially issued due to Sesay's non-appearance in court regarding allegations of assault and intimidation made by musician Frederick Peters, also known as Famous.

During the proceedings, the second accused, Med Denero, was present, but Amidu Sesay was absent. Consequently, Assistant Commissioner of Police Joan Bull, the lead Prosecutor, requested a bench warrant for Sesay and his sureties to ensure his court appearance, which Magistrate Jah approved.

At the prior hearing, Magistrate Jah had revoked Sesay’s bail and adjourned the case, despite defense counsel Zacharias Kanu’s appeals for its maintenance.

At Friday's hearing, the absence of the Prosecutor prevented the court from proceeding. Magistrate Jah subsequently adjourned the matter to June 20, 2025.

Amidu Sesay and Mohamed Kargbo are currently on trial for seven charges, including conspiracy, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, disorderly conduct, and intimidation.

The alleged offenses occurred on February 22, 2025, at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Aberdeen, Freetown. It is alleged that Sesay and Kargbo conspired with unidentified individuals to assault Frederick Peters (Famous) and Ibrahim Fofanah, and engaged in disorderly conduct, thereby causing fear and intimidation.
