Matron Addresses Misinformation Regarding Missing Child Case

ree

Matron Saiminatu Tejan-Sie of Princess Christian Maternal Hospital addressed misinformation on social media concerning her alleged involvement in the missing child case at Ola During Hospital.

She reported receiving numerous inquiries from relatives about a widely circulated image that falsely depicted her with a large sum of money, suggesting it was from a transaction involving the child.

Matron Tejan-Sie clarified that the photograph was taken during a recent press briefing organized by the Sierra Leone Midwives Association and the Sierra Leone Nurses Association. At this event, a reward of one hundred million Leones was announced and displayed, and she happened to be standing nearby.

She highlighted that she is not employed at Ola During Hospital, where the child abduction occurred, but rather at PCMH, and she urged against further attempts at character defamation.

She concluded by emphasising her roles as a mother of two and an experienced professional, stating that she would never participate in such activities, and attributed the rumours to potential instigators.
