Musicians MedLenero and Associate Rearrested Ahead of Court Appearance

MedLenero and an associate, both renowned musicians from Sierra Leone, were rearrested prior to their court appearance scheduled for June 13, 2025. This development follows their initial court appearance on June 3rd, where they faced charges of conspiracy, assault, and intimidation related to a violent incident at a luxury hotel.

Amidu Sesay and Mohamed H. Kargbo, known professionally as MedLenero, appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1 to respond to these serious criminal allegations.

The two musicians were accused of conspiring to commit offenses against fellow artists Fredrik Dapay Peters, also known as Famous, and Ibrahim Fofanah. They had previously entered pleas of not guilty to all charges and were released the following day with the assistance of record label owner and rapper Kao Denero.

However, according to a source, both individuals were rearrested today, though the reason why their bail was rescinded, couldn't be obtained.

Additionally, warrants have been issued for two other members of the Black Leo group, reportedly Iye Wisher Mansaray and K.Rap (real name unknown).

The source indicates that these warrants authorize the immediate arrest of the two aforementioned rappers upon sighting.

The legal proceedings are set to continue in court tomorrow.
