The nation is celebrating a brilliant young mind today as eleven-year-old Bethany Davies officially takes her place in the history books. 

Following the release of the 2026 National Primary School Examination (NPSE) results by the Ministry of Basic and Senior Secondary Education (MBSSE), Bethany has emerged as the top student in Sierra Leone, inspiring peers across the capital.

Representing the prestigious Tower Hill Kindergarten and Primary School, Bethany achieved a staggering aggregate T-score of 351. This isn’t just a personal victory; it is a national milestone. Her performance shatters the previous record of 346 set just last year, proving that the academic bar in our primary institutions continues to rise.

The success story extends beyond a single classroom. 

The MBSSE reports that the national pass rate has climbed to 78.2%, a heartening increase from 78% in 2025. Education officials are optimistic, noting that these steady gains reflect a deepening commitment to foundational learning and school completion across every district.

As news of the 351 aggregate score spread, celebrations erupted at Tower Hill. Educators, family, and community members have come together to toast Bethany’s unprecedented achievement.
