Dr. Sylvia Olayinka Blyden, a former cabinet minister and prominent member of the All People’s Congress (APC), recently hosted APC presidential aspirant Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, widely known as Jagaban, at her residence in Cockle Bay, Freetown.

In a subsequent public statement, Dr. Blyden characterized the engagement as constructive, expressing her honour at receiving Jagaban and his delegation. She indicated that the discussions centred on shared national concerns and mentioned that Jagaban's campaign team would release further details and photographic documentation of the meeting in due course.

Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, known as Jagaban within political circles, is actively pursuing the APC’s presidential flagbearer nomination and is recognised as a significant contender within the party as the next electoral cycle approaches.

Following the consultation, Dr. Blyden publicly commented on Jagaban’s political ambitions, acknowledging his vision for Sierra Leone and extending her well wishes for his ongoing campaign within the party.

This meeting represents part of the ongoing series of consultations and strategic engagements occurring between senior APC officials and aspirants, as the opposition party finalizes internal strategy ahead of future leadership determinations and national elections.
