Bo School marked its 120th anniversary with a distinguished Speech Day and Prize Giving Ceremony, convening students, alumni, and high-ranking government officials to celebrate the institution's sustained legacy of educational excellence. The milestone event underscored the school’s critical role in cultivating Sierra Leone’s future leadership.

Addressing the assembly, President Julius Maada Bio, an alumnus, reframed success beyond academic metrics. He emphasized that the anniversary celebrates the "enduring spirit of service, discipline, and moral responsibility" ingrained by the school, urging students to adhere to the motto, "Manners Maketh Man".

The President affirmed that Bo School graduates are the "torchbearers of progress" mandated to contribute positively to the nation.

Further reinforcing this focus on holistic development, First Lady Fatima Maada Bio championed education that integrates ethical grooming, resilience, and life skills alongside scholarship. She stressed that true "Excellence is not only in grades or trophies it is reflected in how you treat others and contribute to society".

The Old Bo Boys’ Association (OBBA) was central to the celebration, showcasing decades of robust alumni engagement. OBBA leaders highlighted crucial investments in school infrastructure, scholarships, and strengthened mentorship programs designed to connect current students with professionals across medicine, law, and public service.

Alumni further committed to prioritizing community development initiatives, asserting that their responsibility extends beyond the campus to building "a stronger, more capable Sierra Leone".

The ceremony concluded by reaffirming Bo School’s mandate to shape leaders prepared for national service.
