Thomas Conteh of Government Secondary School in Bo, a participant in the first Pan-African High School Educational Exchange Program organized by High Schools Africa, paid a courtesy visit to His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, Sierra Leone’s High Commissioner to Ghana, on 18 November 2025.
During the visit, Benjamin Kojo Mensah, also known as Goshers and director of High Schools Africa, explained that the program aims to unite African students, foster cultural understanding, and promote friendship across the continent. He noted that Thomas was selected from a shortlist of three pupils from his school as the best candidate to represent Sierra Leone.

High Commissioner Kaisamba welcomed Conteh and the team, praising the initiative for showcasing African culture and promoting the values of hospitality and unity. He confirmed that Thomas’ selection followed a transparent process and encouraged him to share his experiences back home as an ambassador for youth and cultural exchange.
Thomas Conteh expressed gratitude for the opportunity to meet the High Commissioner and described his time in Ghana as enlightening. He said he learned about Ghana’s history and culture and interacted with students from Ghana Secondary Technical School. He pledged to share these experiences with his peers in Sierra Leone to promote African unity among young people.

The exchange program represents an important step in fostering cross-continental understanding among high school students.
Thomas is scheduled to return to Sierra Leone on 19 November, concluding his participation in the inaugural edition of the Pan-African High School Educational Exchange Program.
