Councillor Mohamed Mansaray appeared before Magistrate Medisah Massaquoi at Pademba Road Court No. 6 on charges of cyber stalking and cyber bullying against Member of Parliament Honourable Ibrahim Kabba.
The charges, brought under Sections 44(1)(b) and 44(2)(b) of the Cyber Security and Crime Act 2021, allege that between 1 and 10 November 2025, Mansaray sent messages intended to damage the reputation of MP Kabba. The second count claims he recklessly circulated false information online during the same period.
Mansaray consented to a summary trial under Section 121 of the Criminal Procedure Act 2024 and pleaded not guilty to both counts.
During the hearing, the prosecution’s first witness, MP Kabba, testified that he received an audio message in which Mansaray accused him of accepting two thousand dollars in connection with a community land deal. Mansaray allegedly claimed to have photographic and video evidence but did not provide it when requested. MP Kabba said the accusations were harmful and prompted him to seek legal action after direct attempts to resolve the matter failed.
The defence, led by A.S. Sesay Esq., cross-examined the witness.
Magistrate Massaquoi granted Mansaray bail of Le 10,000, with one responsible surety of a similar amount residing in the Western Area of Freetown, approved by the Deputy Assistant Registrar.
The case has been adjourned to 26 November 2025 for further proceedings.
