Cricket Sierra Leone Secures $400,000 Kadat Group Partnership

Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) has secured a transformative five-year sponsorship deal worth $400,000 with the Kadat Group of Companies to develop domestic cricket and expand the sport's national reach.
The landmark agreement was finalized on Saturday at Kadat Group’s headquarters on Hennessey Street in Freetown, marking a major milestone in CSL's strategy to attract corporate investment and elevate competition standards.
The contract was signed by CSL Board Chairman Francis Trevor Samura and General Manager Chrispin E. George, alongside representatives and board members from both entities.
Funding from the deal will directly support the Senior Men’s and Women’s Cricket Leagues, as well as provide vital resources to the national senior squads, the Men’s Patriots and Women’s Patriots.
Beyond raising performance standards, the $400,000 infusion aims to expand player opportunities and inspire youth involvement, supporting CSL’s long-term vision to establish cricket as a mainstream national sport.
The announcement coincides with ongoing facility upgrades at Kingtom Oval, where groundskeeping crews have graded the outfield and cleared nearby vehicles in preparation for the upcoming league season.
Anticipation for the new season is building across the league, with clubs actively pursuing player transfers and loans while scheduling pre-season media sessions and team photoshoots.
For the newly appointed CSL Board, securing this corporate backing provides a strong foundation at the start of its five-year mandate, turning financial support into sustainable progress for Sierra Leonean cricket.
