CSL Initiates PHE Teacher Training in Moyamba Under ICC Legacy Programme

Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) is conducting a two-day training session for eighty Physical Health Education (PHE) teachers in the Moyamba District, Southern Region.

This training, part of the ICC Legacy Programme for Africa, focuses on an introductory cricket program and criiio facilitators' activities. It will be conducted by eight cricket development officers, including two ICC coach tutors and two data capture officers.

The objective is to train 21,000 teachers by 2027, coinciding with Africa's hosting of the ICC T/20 Men’s Cricket World Cup, commenced today and concluding on Saturday, this training complements the Cricket 4 Schools program by CSL to enhance student participation.

These eighty teachers will join the five hundred who have already been trained to deliver entry-level cricket programs.
