Dr. Kadijatu Grace Ahene Kamara, Sierra Leone’s Deputy Minister of Tourism and Cultural Affairs, officially released her tenth publication, titled The Different Kind of Power. This significant milestone further establishes Dr. Kamara's status as a leading voice in Sierra Leonean literature and governance.

The launch event transcended a typical book signing, serving instead as a call to action advocating for a fundamental shift in leadership methodologies. Leveraging the platform afforded by her ten published works, Dr. Kamara introduced the concept of "the soft kind of power".

During the ceremony, Dr. Kamara elaborated that effective leadership is not defined by being the most assertive or forceful. She challenged leaders in Sierra Leone and globally to prioritize understanding public needs, leading by positive example rather than command, and engaging in collaborative problem-solving.

The publication launch was widely regarded as an inspiring event that promoted serious reflection.

Dr. Kamara's central thesis suggests that national development requires leaders to successfully integrate traditional authority with emotional intelligence and compassion. She summarized her philosophy by stating, "True leadership is found in the soft kind of power, the kind that builds up instead of tears down".

The book is anticipated to function as a resource for current and prospective leaders seeking to generate positive impact through thoughtful and compassionate governance.
