Deteriorating Building at Saint Paul’s Sparks Safety Concerns

Growing alarm has gripped students, staff, and residents of Pujehun Town as the furniture building at the historic Saint Paul’s Secondary School falls into severe disrepair, posing potential safety hazards and threatening practical education.

The structure, designed to house vocational workshops and maintain vital school equipment, is currently in an advanced state of deterioration. Community members warn that the compromised facility not only disrupts hands-on learning and equipment storage but also jeopardizes the physical wellbeing of students and faculty using the space.

The decline comes despite Saint Paul’s Secondary School’s storied reputation and previous campus enhancements, which included upgrades to science classrooms and modern educational resources.

In response to the deteriorating conditions, local stakeholders, parents, and community leaders are issuing an urgent call to action. 

They are appealing to government authorities, school administrators, international development partners, and benevolent donors to intervene immediately with renovation funds to restore a safe, productive learning environment.
