Mohamed Kamara, a driver, appeared before Magistrate Mustapha Brima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1, where he was granted bail following charges of theft and obtaining property by false pretenses.
The charges stem from an incident occurring between January 1 and December 31, 2023, at Femi Turner, Goderich, in Freetown. Kamara is accused of stealing a Mercedes Benz truck, valued at 350,000 Leones, owned by Senessie Kallon.
Additionally, he faces a second count of attempting to defraud by falsely promising to exchange the truck for a three-town lot of land at Deep Eye Water.
As these are committal proceedings, the defendant did not enter a plea. Prosecutor Inspector Kadie M. Taylor confirmed that Kamara has been served with the case file.
Magistrate Jah granted bail and scheduled the next court appearance for July 20, 2026.
