The East End Lions concluded their 2025/26 Leone Rock Premier League season on a high note, securing a commanding 2-0 victory over Bullom Stars at the Approved School Field on Thursday, July 16. The win marks the third consecutive victory for "the Killers," who finished their campaign with significant momentum after a previous setback against Diamond Stars in June.
The match began as a tight, tactical affair. Neither side could break the deadlock in the first half, though the officiating crew was kept active with multiple cautions. Bullom Stars’ Ibrahim Turay was booked in the 14th minute, while East End’s Idrissa Sesay and Bankole Coker also received yellow cards before the halftime whistle.
The intensity shifted immediately after the break. Just 46 seconds into the second half, prolific forward Sulaiman S. Kargbo capitalized on an assist from Mohamed Fofanah to put the hosts in front. This goal was a major milestone, marking Kargbo’s 18th of the season and placing him in pole position to secure the Leone Rock Premier League Golden Boot.
Despite persistent pressure from Bullom Stars, the Lions’ defense remained disciplined, stifling any attempts at an equalizer. The visitors’ frustration was evident as Mohamed Manga Sesay was booked in the 50th minute.
Alie Conteh eventually sealed the match in the 80th minute with a composed finish, securing the 2-0 scoreline and a clean sheet to close out the season.
