East End Lions staged a comeback to beat FC Kallon, 3-2

East End Lions Football Club staged a dramatic comeback to achieve a 3-2 victory over FC Kallon in a pulsating encounter that took place on Saturday, May 18th, 2024, at the Sierra Leone Football Association Academy.

This triumph served to maintain their aspirations of securing a top-five finish in the 2023/2024 Leone Rock Premier League season.

FC Kallon exhibited a strong start to the match and gained an early lead through the efforts of Alimamy J. Kamara in the 34th minute. However, their advantage was short-lived, as Osman Koroma (Ozil) swiftly equalized for East End Lions just three minutes later.

The intensity of the match remained consistent throughout the second half, with both teams displaying a competitive spirit. Nonetheless, it was East End Lions who managed to snatch the decisive goal in stoppage time.

Substitute Sulaiman S. Kargbo (SS) demonstrated his skills by finding the back of the net in the 95th minute, securing all three points for his team.

This defeat represents a significant setback for FC Kallon's aspirations of claiming the league title. Currently, Bo Rangers occupy the top position in the league standings and appear poised to clinch the championship.

On the other hand, East End Lions have regained their contention for a top-five finish, which could lead to a triumphant conclusion to their league campaign.
