Eastern Region Grassroots Coaches Gain New Skills Through SLFA E-Licence Training

The Eastern Region Technical Department has successfully concluded the first two days of the SLFA E-Licence Coaching Course for grassroots coaches at the Kenema District Football Association Secretariat.
The course commenced with a familiarisation session involving football educators, administrators and coaches from different parts of the district. During the opening session, the Eastern Region Football Association Secretary, Mr Abu Bakarr Sidikie Kallon, urged participants to take the course seriously, emphasising the importance of paying close attention to their educators and making the most of the learning opportunity.
A total of 25 coaches, including two female coaches, participated in the training. The course was led by FIFA Coach Educator Ishmael Kallon and supervised by Eastern Region Technical Officer Mr Aiah Musa Fanday.
The training began with an introduction to coaching, combining theoretical lessons with practical on-field sessions. Both approaches were incorporated throughout the first two days to strengthen participants’ understanding of coaching principles and their practical application.
The programme aims to equip grassroots coaches with the essential knowledge and skills needed to improve coaching standards and contribute to football development across the region.
The third day of the course will continue at the Kenema District Football Association Secretariat at the same scheduled time.
