Magistrate Hadiru Daboh of the Kenema Magistrate Court No. 1 has committed Musa Sallia, a local entertainer from Mambu Street, and Amadu Junior Kamara, a student from the Kpayama Section, to the High Court for trial. The defendants face serious charges, including the sexual penetration of a minor, housebreaking, and larceny.
During the proceedings, Court Clerk Ibrahim Tomboyeke formally presented the indictments to the defendants.
The prosecution alleges that Musa Sallia violated Section 19 of the Sexual Offences Act No. 12 of 2012, as amended by Section 4 (a)(ii) of the Sexual Offences Amendment Act No. 8 of 2019.
Specific allegations state that on January 30, 2026, at Mambu Street in Kenema, the defendant engaged in the sexual penetration of a ten-year-old child.
As the matter has been committed to the High Court, no formal pleas were entered at this stage. The defendants have been remanded to the Sierra Leone Correctional Service (SLCS) in Kenema pending their next court appearance.
