Hon. Muniru Lansana, a former Member of Parliament for the Sierra Leone People's Party (SLPP), recently claimed that Sierra Leone has procured a significantly larger number of agricultural machines than Burkina Faso, despite the widespread international attention garnered by Burkina Faso's president, Captain Ibrahim Traoré.

During an online media interview, Lansana underscored that under the leadership of President Julius Maada Bio, Sierra Leone's purchase volume of agricultural machinery is five times greater, highlighting the nation's substantial commitment to agricultural sector development.

Lansana observed a discrepancy where the procurement efforts of Burkina Faso's president receive extensive commendation, while Sierra Leone's comparable—and, by his account, greater—investments remain largely unacknowledged.

He further stated that President Bio consistently demonstrates genuine political will, resolve, and a steadfast dedication to national progress, suggesting these efforts are often insufficiently appreciated by the citizenry.

The former MP's statements contribute to the ongoing public discourse concerning comparative national leadership and developmental progress across the West African sub-region.
