Fanta Nabe Inspires Mogbwemo Queens to Narrow Win Over Kahunla Queens

Fanta Nabe delivered a match-winning performance to earn the Woman of the Match award as Mogbwemo Queens FC edged Kahunla Queens FC 1–0 in a tightly contested encounter in the ongoing Marampa Mines Women’s Premier League 2025/2026 season.

The fixture was fiercely competitive from the start, with both sides showing determination and intensity in search of an early breakthrough. However, the match also saw a series of cautions as tempers flared during key moments of the game.

Mogbwemo Queens picked up several bookings in the first half, with Jeannette D. Sagna (#12) receiving a yellow card in the 17th minute, followed by Fatmata T. Koroma (#2) in the 24th minute, and Jeneba Koroma (#10) in the 29th minute. Kahunla Queens’ Mbilia Cisse (#5) was also booked late in the 83rd minute after a tense second-half spell.

Despite the physical nature of the contest, the breakthrough eventually came in the 60th minute when Fanta Nabe rose to the occasion. She calmly converted a well-worked attacking move, finishing off an assist from Jeneba Koroma to put Mogbwemo Queens in front.

That decisive strike proved enough to separate the two sides, as Mogbwemo Queens held firm defensively to secure all three points.

Beyond her goal, Nabe’s overall display stood out for its composure, attacking intelligence, and tireless energy. Her ability to influence the game at key moments earned her deserved recognition as the best player on the pitch.

The victory strengthens Mogbwemo Queens’ position in the league campaign, while Fanta Nabe’s standout performance continues to highlight her growing influence and importance within the team.
