Finance Minister to Present FY2026 Supplementary Budget This Friday

Finance Minister Sheku Ahmed Fantamadi Bangura is scheduled to present the FY2026 Supplementary Government Budget and Statement of Economic and Financial Policies before the Parliament of the Republic of Sierra Leone this Friday, July 31, 2026.


The session, set to begin at 10:00 a.m. in the Chamber of Parliament, is a significant event in the government's fiscal calendar. The Ministry of Finance has issued an open invitation to a wide range of stakeholders, including heads of ministries, departments, and agencies (MDAs), state-owned enterprise representatives, development partners, civil society organizations, and the general public.


In preparation for the presentation, the Ministry of Finance has requested that all invited guests be seated by 9:30 a.m. 


The Ministry also expressed gratitude for the continued cooperation of the public as final preparations are made for the event.


While specific details regarding the budget remain under wraps, the presentation is expected to provide a comprehensive update on the government’s financial and economic policies for the remainder of the fiscal year.
