Football Administration Icon Elma Kamara Honoured as He Retires from SLFA

The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has honoured its retiring Head of Administration, Elma Kamara, in recognition of his outstanding 26 years of dedicated service to football administration in Sierra Leone.

A farewell ceremony was held in his honour, bringing together members of the SLFA Executive Committee, management, and staff to celebrate the career of an administrator whose professionalism, commitment, and leadership have contributed significantly to the growth and development of the Association.

During his distinguished tenure, Mr. Kamara served in several key roles, including Education Officer, Head of Administration, and Acting General Secretary. His vast experience and dedication earned him widespread respect among colleagues and football stakeholders, many of whom regarded him as a mentor and role model.

Speaking at the ceremony, SLFA officials praised Mr. Kamara for his loyalty, integrity, and unwavering commitment to the Association. They highlighted his contribution to strengthening football administration structures and supporting the professional growth of staff throughout his years of service.

On behalf of SLFA President Babadi Kamara and the Executive Committee, Second Vice President Prince Saquee expressed appreciation for Mr. Kamara’s invaluable contribution to Sierra Leone football, describing his service as an inspiration to current and future football administrators.

In his farewell message, Mr. Kamara thanked the SLFA leadership, colleagues, and the wider football community for their support throughout his career. He reflected on his years of service with pride and encouraged staff to continue upholding professionalism, dedication, and commitment in their work.

As he begins a new chapter following more than two decades of service, the SLFA wished Elma Kamara a happy, healthy, and fulfilling retirement, while celebrating his lasting impact on football administration in Sierra Leone.
