Former Electoral Chief Appointed ECOWAS Representative to Liberia

Mohamed Kenewui Konneh, the former Chairman and Chief Electoral Commissioner of the Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone (ECSL), has been appointed as the new Permanent Representative of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to Liberia. This appointment marks a significant transition in his career from national electoral leadership to a prominent regional diplomatic role.

In his new capacity, he is tasked with representing ECOWAS’s interests while supporting the organization’s ongoing engagement, programmatic initiatives, and cooperation efforts within the country. This includes facilitating dialogue aimed at strengthening regional integration and democratic governance.
