Four Remanded Over 64 Fake License Counts

Four individuals accused of producing counterfeit Sierra Leone Road Safety Authority (SLRSA) vehicle licenses have been remanded at the Sierra Leone Correctional Centre after facing 64 counts including forgery, conspiracy, and fraudulent impersonation.

The suspects were arrested during SLRSA enforcement operations with equipment used to forge licenses. Magistrate Brima Jah denied bail at the Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 1, citing the gravity of the offences and their threat to national security and state revenue. The hearing resumes on November 4, 2026.

SLRSA Executive Director James Bagie Bio warned offenders that licensing systems have been upgraded with security features, urging the public to use only official offices.
