Four Sierra Leonean Referees Appointed for CAF Champions League Clash in Ghana

Four referees from Sierra Leone have been appointed by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to officiate the CAF Champions League match between Ghana’s Asante Kotoko and Morocco’s Wydad AC, scheduled for Saturday, October 19, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium.
According to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA), Mohamed Buzin Koroma will serve as the center referee. He will be assisted by Mamoud Alie Conteh as Assistant Referee I, Alusine Conteh as Assistant Referee II, and Rashid M. Conteh as the fourth official.
The appointment provides the Sierra Leonean officials an opportunity to showcase their skills in one of Africa’s most prestigious club football tournaments.
The SLFA confirmed the development and expressed confidence that the team will represent Sierra Leone with professionalism and pride.
The fixture between Asante Kotoko and Wydad AC is expected to attract widespread attention across the continent, with the Sierra Leonean refereeing team playing a key role in managing the high-profile encounter.
