In the shootout, goalkeeper Mamadou Chernor Bah emerged as the hero, producing a standout performance by saving two crucial penalties. His heroics secured Freetown City FC’s place in the last eight of the competition for the first time in the club’s history.

The victory sets up a highly anticipated quarterfinal clash against one of Sierra Leone’s most historic and successful clubs, Mighty Blackpool.

The Orange FA Cup remains a key competition in Sierra Leone football, with the eventual champions earning qualification for the CAF Confederation Cup, Africa’s second-tier interclub tournament.

Freetown City FC’s progression marks a significant milestone for the club as they continue their strong run in the competition.
