Mena Queens FC and FC Kallon Female played out a 1–1 draw in a tightly contested Match Week 19 encounter at Wusum Field, with both sides showing strong attacking intent in an evenly balanced fixture.
The match produced early drama when FC Kallon Female were reduced to ten players after Juliet Brima received a second yellow card, resulting in her dismissal. Despite the numerical disadvantage, Kallon maintained structure and discipline for much of the game.
Their resilience was rewarded in the 68th minute when Kadiatu A. Kamara finished calmly from close range after being set up by Adama Jalloh, giving FC Kallon Female a 1–0 lead.
However, Mena Queens FC responded with sustained pressure and increased attacking urgency, which eventually paid off in the 77th minute when Marie B. Conteh converted to restore parity for her side.
The encounter saw further disciplinary action as Fatmata F. Kanu was also sent off after receiving a second yellow card, while Adama Jalloh and Lucian Sam were both booked during the match.
Despite the setbacks and reduced numbers, both teams continued to push for a winner but were ultimately forced to settle for a share of the points in a competitive and disciplined contest.
Marie B. Conteh was named Woman of the Match following an influential performance, highlighted by her crucial equaliser and overall contribution to Mena Queens FC’s attacking play.
