Freetown Resident Charged Over Alleged Le54,150 Larceny
An unemployed resident of Thoronka Drive in Leicester Village, Freetown, appeared before Pademba Road Magistrate Court No. 2 to face charges of grand larceny involving property valued at Le54,150.
Amadu Koroma, also known as "Konto," was formally charged with larceny contrary to Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916 before Magistrate John Manso Fornah.
According to prosecution documents, the alleged theft occurred on August 2, 2026, at Thoronka Drive. Koroma is accused of stealing a substantial assortment of household items, event equipment, and electronics belonging to complainant Hajarath Soko Sesay.
The stolen items enumerated by prosecutors include:
15 empty Crest bottles
22 white folding chairs and six matching white folding tables
24 assorted-colored rubber chairs and 24 red-and-gold chains
One black photocopy printer and scanner unit
One red 2.5 KVA generator
Three sets of cooking pots and three Coleman coolers (two large blue-and-white, one small blue-and-white)
Following the cross-examination of the prosecution's first witness (PW1), Magistrate Fornah adjourned proceedings until September 22, 2026, when the second prosecution witness (PW2) is scheduled to testify.
