The National Digital Skills Training Programme has commenced its second session, with civil servants from the Administration Department beginning training at the Public Service Academy on Friday, 16 October 2026.

The programme is being implemented in partnership with the Ministry of Public Administration and Political Affairs, the Human Resource Management Office and the Public Service Academy.

The latest cohort comprises Administrative Officers, Higher Executive Officers, Executive Officers and Secretaries, who will participate in three Friday training sessions scheduled to conclude on 30 October 2026.

The training covers the use of digital tools, data management, artificial intelligence and cybersecurity, with participants expected to receive certificates upon completion.

The programme will subsequently extend to other departments, including Human Resources, Procurement, Policy Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation, Finance and Accounts, and ICT and Technology.

Training is expected to continue until April 2027, with civil servants from the various departments participating in scheduled sessions.

The initiative aims to strengthen digital skills across the public service and equip civil servants with the knowledge needed to use technology more effectively in government operations.
