The Inspector General of Police, William Fayia Sellu, has donated four brand-new motorbikes to the Sierra Leone Police in the Northeast Region.
The motorbikes were handed over at the Police Regional Headquarters in Mena Hills, Makeni, to enhance police operations and mobility across the region.
The donation is expected to enable officers to respond more quickly to emergencies and conduct regular patrols, particularly in communities that are difficult to access by vehicle.
Receiving the motorbikes on behalf of the Northeast Region, Regional Police Commander, Assistant Inspector General of Police Esther Mary Kaintor-Dukuray, thanked the IGP for his continued support.
She said the motorbikes would help officers carry out their duties more effectively and improve access to communities across the region.
