VP Jalloh Leads Strategic Police Reform and Security Meeting

Vice President of Sierra Leone, Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, who also serves as Chairman of the Sierra Leone Police Council, chaired a key meeting of the Sierra Leone Police Executive Management Board on Thursday, August 27, 2026, at the Office of the Vice President.

The high-level engagement brought together political oversight and senior police leadership from across the nation to address critical governance, security, and operational matters affecting the Force.

Central to the discussions were ongoing institutional reforms, enhancing accountability, and strengthening the overall operational effectiveness of the police force to better meet the country's public safety needs.

Dr. Jalloh noted that the session provided a valuable platform to receive direct updates from senior officers regarding current institutional priorities, recent developments, and the challenges faced in delivering policing services.

“Today, I chaired a meeting of the Sierra Leone Police Executive Management Board, where we discussed key governance, security, and operational issues affecting the Force,” said Vice President Jalloh. “It is always refreshing to hear firsthand from senior officers across the country on police reform.”

This engagement forms part of the Government's broader initiative to reinforce security-sector institutions, ensure police accountability, and build capacity across the nation.
