'Industry Sound' Out, Silence From Producers

Kao Denero, Sierra Leone's Entertainment Ambassador, has formally introduced the "Industry Sound" initiative. This strategic project encourages local artists to utilize a standardized instrumental framework to foster cross-sector collaboration and artistic innovation within the national music industry.

To date, three compositions have been produced under this initiative. While the primary track has been officially released, preview material for the subsequent works has been disseminated to the public. Prominent artists, including Samza and Kracktwist, have signaled their intent to participate in the program.

The program had encountered administrative criticism from the producers' community. Lord Mo, President of the Producers' Association, had cited concerns regarding the formal communication protocols employed. He noted that the association was not officially engaged as a collective body, with outreach instead directed toward individual members.

Lord Mo emphasized that formal notification was only provided immediately prior to a scheduled seminar. He had advocated for the implementation of established industry structures and official correspondence to ensure effective engagement with the association's extensive national membership.

In response, Kao Denero asserted that while the association's leadership was contacted for the seminar, their feedback was not received within the timeframe required to facilitate early-stage support for the initiative.

Notwithstanding these procedural disagreements, several producers attended the seminar and contributed to the initial "Industry Sound" productions. 

The producer's association has still not commented on the aired product of the retreat organized by Kaodenero.
