Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed Omodu Kamara, a leading flagbearer aspirant for the All People’s Congress (APC), officially inaugurated the “Jagaban Borehole Machine” at the party’s North-West Regional Office in Port Loko on June 27, 2026.
The launch fulfills a commitment Kamara made during the machine’s initial unveiling in Freetown on April 19, 2025, where he pledged that the Port Loko regional office would be the first site to benefit from the water access initiative. The project in its entirety will be spread nationwide.
The ceremony was chaired by APC Port Loko District Secretary Engr. Ishemel Kanu. Hon. Komboh Kamara, the North-West Regional Chairman, commended the project, stating that the initiative serves as a tangible example of leadership that prioritizes community development alongside political goals.
In his address to the attendees, Kamara described the borehole project as a demonstration of his focus on service and the development of party structures. He emphasized that the initiative is intended to provide critical resources while fostering stronger connections within the party and the local community.
The event concluded with interfaith prayers led by Apostle Frederick Mansaray and Sheikh Alhaji Abdul Razak Sengeh, who offered blessings for the continued success of the project and Kamara’s future endeavors.
