Jagaban Pledges Le 1.5 Billion for Kailahun Community Empowerment

Sheikh Alhaji Mohamed "Omodu" Kamara, widely known as Jagaban and a prominent flagbearer aspirant for the All People's Congress (APC), announced a comprehensive Le 1.5 billion support package for key demographic groups in Kailahun during his visit on March 24, 2026.
This significant financial commitment is structured to address critical areas of socio-economic development, comprising Le 1 billion designated for women-led businesses, Le 200 million for academic scholarships, and Le 300 million to bolster the agricultural sector. Jagaban confirmed his return on April 11, 2026, to oversee the formal disbursement of these funds.
Mr. Ensah Jajua, the APC Kailahun District Chairman, formally welcomed the delegation and conveyed profound gratitude on behalf of the party executives, affiliate organizations, and the local constituency.
APC Regional Chairman, Hon. Maya Moiwo Kaikai, characterized the engagement as a milestone for the region. He noted the high level of anticipation among the membership and acknowledged the presence of Paramount Chief Musa Ngombukla Kallon III of Jawie Chiefdom. Hon. Kaikai commended Jagaban's focus on inclusive development and emphasized that the empowerment of women remains a cornerstone of national progress, particularly through the implementation of accessible credit facilities.
In his address, Jagaban expressed his appreciation to the district and regional leadership, traditional authorities, and party supporters for their hospitality. He articulated a vision that extends beyond partisan politics, focusing on a broader presidential mandate centered on the collective welfare and prosperity of all Sierra Leoneans.
Furthermore, Jagaban recognized ward executives as vital catalysts for political and social change. He reaffirmed his financial pledges to the local women, students, and farmers, ensuring the community of his scheduled return on April 11, 2026, to fulfill these developmental promises.
Representing the local women, APC District Chairlady Mrs. Diana Kambeh Solo lauded the initiative, stating that such investments are poised to significantly enhance local livelihoods and strengthen community resilience. She concluded by reaffirming the unwavering support of the women of Kailahun for Jagaban's leadership and vision.
