The High Court has ordered Justice Momoh Jah Stevens to pay a monthly child support fee of NLe 10,000, starting in December 2025. The order follows DNA test results confirming his biological link to the child, among other directives issued by the court.
Presiding Judge Augustine K. Musa noted that both parties and independent authorities were involved in handling the DNA samples, which were sealed and submitted to ensure proper procedures were followed.
During proceedings, DNA evidence presented by Ramsy Medical Laboratory and EcoMeD Advanced Center reportedly showed a 99.999% match between the child and Justice Stevens, strengthening the court’s decision. The case has drawn significant public attention due to the profile of those involved and the sensitive nature of the allegations.
Officials from various institutions, including the Human Rights Commission and the Ministry of Gender and Children’s Affairs, were present in court, along with family members and members of the media. The court has urged the public to await official rulings and avoid drawing premature conclusions.
Details of the full judgment are expected to be released soon.
