Mohamed Kallon Formally Reapplies for Leone Stars Head Coach Position

Mohamed Kallon, the former Head Coach of the Leone Stars, has officially confirmed the submission of his application for the vacant senior men's national team coaching position. Kallon announced his reapplication via a statement on social media, confirming that his credentials were submitted to the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) through the General Secretary and the official email, adhering to all established administrative procedures.

He emphasized that as a licensed coach, professional protocol requires following the proper channels for submitting his qualifications. Kallon also reaffirmed his steadfast commitment to Sierra Leonean football despite past difficulties, stating his dedication to the national interest.

This decision to reapply follows his termination from the Head Coach role months prior.

The SLFA Executive Committee reached the decision to relieve Mr. Kallon of his duties after a comprehensive technical and strategic evaluation of the national team.

The Committee concluded that a leadership transition was necessary to advance the development of Sierra Leonean football and secure the team's future success.

The association is currently finalizing administrative and legal procedures related to the transition and confirmed that the recruitment process for a new Head Coach is ongoing to strengthen the Leone Stars for upcoming international fixtures.

Kallon's persistent pursuit of the role, despite his prior dismissal, highlights his continued passion for leading the national team and has generated significant anticipation among stakeholders awaiting the SLFA’s final decision regarding the technical bench.
