James Jusu Kanja is experiencing a remarkable breakthrough season and continues to impress in the Leone Rock Premier League.
The 17-year-old forward for Old Edwardians FC currently leads the league in scoring with nine goals. His recent standout performance included a brace in the convincing 3–1 victory over Wusum Stars FC at the SLFA Academy. This crucial win propelled Old Edwardians into third place with 27 points, placing them just two points behind co-leaders Bai Bureh Warriors and Star Sport Academy, who are both on 29 points.
Kanja's composed finishing, intelligent off-the-ball movement, and fearless style of play have distinguished him this season. Despite his age, he exhibits a level of confidence and tactical awareness typically seen in far more seasoned professionals.
His consistent goal production has been a significant advantage for his club, particularly in a season where scoring opportunities have been scarce for many teams. If he sustains this exceptional form, the young striker is poised for an even more promising trajectory as the season advances.
