Kei Kamara Visits Kingtom Oval Ahead of Cricket Launch

Former Sierra Leone international football star Kei Ansu Kamara visited the Kingtom Oval on Friday in his role as Brand Ambassador for the Bravely T20 Cricket Premier League 2026.
Joined by Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) officials, Kamara toured the venue to inspect the outfield, tournament branding, renovated dressing rooms, and the newly constructed cricket pitch ahead of Saturday’s official launch.
The inaugural tournament kicks off on Saturday, October 24, 2026, marking a landmark moment for domestic cricket in the country. Expressing his enthusiasm during the tour, Kamara noted his commitment to elevating the profile of Sierra Leonean sports beyond football.
“It’s an honor to support Cricket Sierra Leone and help bring national attention to this incredible event,” Kamara said during his walk-through of the facilities.
As one of Major League Soccer’s top all-time goalscorers with over 140 goals across 11 clubs, Kamara brings significant star power to the tournament. The veteran forward retired from the Leone Stars in October 2025 after 16 years of international service.
Organizers expect his endorsement to generate widespread interest, attracting both seasoned sports fans and newcomers to the Kingtom Oval for the opening matches.
