Kenema Police Division Makes Significant Arrests in Drug-Related Operations

The Kenema Police Division has made a series of significant arrests following intensified operations targeting drug-related activities across the division.


The raids, conducted under the leadership of CSP Emmanuel Kpulun, Local Unit Commander, Kenema Division, highlight the force’s commitment to maintaining public safety and combating the circulation of illicit substances.


On 13th January 2026, Abu Bakar Juldeh Barrie was apprehended in possession of three boxes containing 300 capsules of 225mg Tramadol and ten boxes containing 1,000 tablets of 100mg Tramadol.


Similarly, Mohamed Koroma was arrested on 12th January 2026 with ten cards totaling 100 Tramadol tablets.


The operations also led to the detention of Vandy Mannah on 12th January 2026, who was found with nineteen wraps of a substance suspected to be cannabis. In a related arrest, Lansana Conteh was taken into custody on 13th January 2026 with forty-five wraps of a similar substance.


All suspects were apprehended by the Operations Team led by Inspector Mohamed Conteh, under the supervision of CSP Emmanuel Kpulun, and have been handed over to TOCU Kenema for further investigation. Authorities are continuing efforts to dismantle the wider network behind these illicit substances.


These arrests mark a significant step in the Kenema Police Division’s ongoing strategy to curb drug-related crimes and reinforce law enforcement across the region.
