Authorities in Kenema City have successfully executed a controlled bomb induction exercise in the Reservation Area, an operation aimed at strengthening community safety and enhancing emergency response readiness.

The exercise was spearheaded by the Kenema Paramilitary Department under the direct command of Inspector Banard Ndomawa, with joint participation from personnel of the Republic of Sierra Leone Armed Forces (RSLAF). This multi-agency approach was employed to ensure maximum safety standards and procedural accuracy throughout the operation.

Prior to the commencement of the induction, Inspector Ndomawa issued assurances to local residents, confirming that rigorous safety and security protocols had been implemented to guide the exercise. He stressed that every precaution had been taken by the joint team to mitigate risk and safeguard the well-being of the community during the process.

Inspector Ndomawa also used the occasion to issue a strong appeal for public vigilance, urging citizens to immediately report any suspicious objects or devices to the police. Highlighting the extreme dangers associated with explosive materials, he cautioned community members to maintain a safe and substantial distance from any area where an unidentified or suspected explosive device is discovered.

According to authorities, the successful exercise is part of a broader strategic effort to build public awareness regarding bomb-related hazards and to continuously improve the region's capability to respond to potential emergency situations.
