Lungi Police Station Gets Major Power Boost for 24-Hour Operations

The Lungi Police Station has received a reliable lighting system, a development expected to improve working conditions for police personnel and access to services for members of the public, particularly at night.

Personnel of the Lungi Police Division have expressed appreciation to the Regional Police Commander, North-West Region, AIG Hilary Sao Kanu, and the Local Unit Commander, CSP Augustine Momoh Kamara, for supporting the improvement.

The constant electricity will enable officers to perform their duties more effectively around the clock, enhance their safety and comfort, and provide a more conducive environment for members of the public seeking police assistance after dark.

The Division also extended special appreciation to Mr Abal Jawandor Sesay and others who contributed to the provision of the lighting system, highlighting the important role of community and individual support in addressing practical needs within public institutions.

Personnel said the intervention reflects leadership’s commitment to their welfare and improved service delivery, while the better-lit facility is expected to give residents greater confidence when accessing police services at night.

The Lungi Police Division has therefore commended everyone who contributed to the initiative and stressed the importance of continued cooperation between the police and the communities they serve.
