Mamoud Kargbo, 23, has been remanded in Custody after appearing before Magistrate Mustapha Braima Jah at Pademba Road Court No. 1 in Freetown.

Kargbo is charged with house breaking, larceny, and malicious damage. He did not enter a plea, as the matter is before the court on a preliminary investigation.

According to the particulars of offence, on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at No. 17 Fudia Terrace, Spur Loop, Western Area, Freetown, Kargbo allegedly broke and entered the residence of David Kamara with intent to steal.

The prosecution alleged that he stole a water heater, two pairs of slippers, Islamic praying cloths, and other assorted items, with a total value of Le295,300.

The court further heard that on the same date and at the same location, Kargbo maliciously damaged three steel doors, valued at Le18,000, property belonging to David Kamara.

When the charges were read and explained to him, Kargbo did not plead because the case is at the preliminary investigation stage. The prosecutor, Assistant Superintendent of Police Ibrahim S. Mansaray, served the accused with the relevant documents.

Magistrate Jah refused bail and ordered that Kargbo be remanded at the male correctional facility in Freetown. The matter was adjourned to 18 December 2025.
