Minister of Basic and Senior Secondary Education Conrad Sackey, accompanied by the Chief Education Officer and the Free Quality School Education Coordinator, recently visited Agape School in Dwazark following reports that parents were being charged to collect their children’s National Primary School Examination (NPSE) results.

Although the school was closed upon their arrival, the official delegation left instructions inviting the headteacher to report to the Ministry for further investigation.

Minister Sackey reiterated that under the Free Quality School Education programme, no school or official is authorized to demand payment for report cards or examination results.

"Free Quality School Education means removing financial barriers, not creating new ones,"

Sackey stated, emphasizing his commitment to protecting students' rights to access their academic records without illegal fees.

The Ministry has urged affected parents to request official receipts if asked for money and to report such incidents with supporting evidence via the toll-free line, 8060.

Authorities confirmed that all reported cases will be thoroughly investigated, with appropriate disciplinary action taken against violators to uphold compliance across all institutions.
