The Jesus Triumphant Ministry International has distributed food and essential non-food items to vulnerable widows in Kenema city as part of its ongoing mission to support those in need.

The donation event took place at the ministry’s branch church, located at Cowyard, off the Bo/Kenema Highway. The distributed goods included essential food items such as rice, palm oil, and groundnuts, along with clothing and other supplies.

Speaking to members of the press, Reverend Morison Peter Karmon, the Regional Overseer of the Jesus Triumphant Ministry East, described the ministry as a Christian-led organization dedicated to delivering the gospel from the Holy Bible.

He explained that widows were specifically targeted for this outreach because they are among the most vulnerable members of the community, often struggling to feed their dependents, particularly during the challenging rainy season.

Rev. Karmon announced that this initiative is set to become an annual event, held every August, with plans already underway to expand the gesture to other vulnerable demographics in the future.

He concluded by appealing to other humanitarians for financial support, noting that the church’s individual contributions are currently its sole source of funding.

He also encouraged the beneficiaries to make full and proper use of the donated items.
