Motema Police Intensify Patrols to Boost Public Confidence in Kono District

The Local Unit Commander (LUC) of the Motema Police Division, CSP Alimamy Sesay, has reassured residents of Kono District of their safety as confidence-building patrols and increased police visibility intensify across the division. The initiative aims to strengthen public trust, deter criminal activities, and ensure a peaceful environment for all communities.
The patrols, led by the Operations Team under the close supervision of Operations Officer Insp. Abubakarr Kamara, are being conducted both during the day and at night in key towns and villages throughout the district.
Personnel have been engaging with community members, youth groups, and local authorities, encouraging cooperation with the police and the sharing of credible information that could aid in crime prevention.
Addressing the public, LUC Sesay emphasized the police’s commitment to maintaining law and order and responding promptly to any security threats. He also urged residents to remain calm, law-abiding, and supportive of the ongoing security efforts.
Residents have welcomed the increased police presence, noting that it has strengthened their confidence and sense of safety. “The Motema Police Division continues to send a strong message that the security of lives and property remains their top priority,” CSP Sesay said.
The division remains peaceful, with no major incidents reported at the time of this update.
