Opposition Member of Parliament Mohamed Bangura has stated that President Julius Maada Bio’s government is making strides in combating corruption and managing the economy, though he expressed concerns regarding a notable lack of discipline within its ranks.

Speaking with Truth Media, Bangura confirmed that the government is actively working to address corruption and improve economic conditions, aligning with international standards. He acknowledged that the Bio administration has implemented measures in these critical areas, which are beginning to show positive results.

However, Bangura highlighted a significant internal challenge within the government. He noted that many individuals operating within the system frequently act without adequate oversight or accountability, thereby diminishing the overall effectiveness of the government’s reform efforts.

Bangura emphatically characterized the level of discipline within the current administration as "zero percent," indicating that insufficient action has been taken to rectify this issue.

His remarks come amidst ongoing public scrutiny of the government's performance in managing corruption and the national economy.
