NC3 Announces Volunteer Opportunities for Safer Internet Campaign

The National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre (NC3) is recruiting 30 volunteers for a four-week, part-time Safer Internet Campaign aimed at promoting safe and responsible internet use across communities in Freetown.

Applicants aged 21 to 35 will be selected to conduct awareness activities in marketplaces, mosques, churches, schools and community groups, focusing on threats such as phishing, identity theft, WhatsApp scams, cyberbullying and internet fraud.

Selected volunteers will serve as Safer Internet

Campaign Advocates, supporting outreach activities, delivering awareness sessions, distributing approved materials and gathering community feedback.

Applicants must have completed WASSCE or be pursuing a university degree in Communication and Media Studies, ICT, or a related field. Strong communication and public-speaking skills are required, while knowledge of multiple local languages and community outreach experience will be an advantage.

The engagement comes with a stipend for approved campaign activities, and female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
