NSA Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai recently led a delegation, including NSA Board Members and staff, on a critical site visit to the ongoing construction of an artificial turf at the Kailahun Town Field. The inspection, conducted this week, focused on assessing the progress, quality, and adherence to standard of this significant investment in the Eastern Region's sports infrastructure.

Deputy Executive Director, Dr. Abdul Rahman Swaray, lauded the project's quality, attributing it to Dr. Abdulai's "transformative leadership" and the NSA's commitment to inclusive sports development. NSA Board Chairman, Ibrahim Yenlekeh, also praised the decentralization effort, calling it a "legacy project" that will enable Kailahun to host standard competitions and cultivate young talent.

Expressing his satisfaction with the work, Dr. Abdulai reaffirmed the NSA's commitment to ensuring the facility meets international standards. He stressed the importance of such Class A projects for grassroots sports, talent development, and peaceful youth engagement, stating, "We are not only building fields, but we are building futures and communities."

He noted that this facility is part of a broader strategy to decentralize sports, with other districts like Mattru Jong and Tihun also slated for similar multi-sport facilities, including volleyball, basketball, and swimming pools. Local stakeholders welcomed the project, anticipating Kailahun's transformation into a regional sporting hub.
