Magistrate John Manso Fornah, presiding over Pademba Road Court No. 2, has sentenced Osman Bah, 29, to six months of imprisonment following a conviction for larceny.
The defendant entered a plea of guilty to the charge, brought under Section 2 of the Larceny Act 1916.
The prosecution established that on May 17, 2026, within the Susan Bay area of Freetown, Bah unlawfully seized a Samsung Galaxy mobile device valued at 4,800 Leones, the property of Musa Jalloh.
DPC 18235 Kebbie K. Thoronka, representing the prosecution, noted that the defendant had no prior criminal record.
Although Bah appeared without legal representation and petitioned for clemency, Magistrate Fornah ordered the six-month custodial sentence to be served in its entirety.
